The DMW GREER One Night Only Series

A lot can happen in one night! That’s the motto of Abingdon’s One Night Only Series, which strives to create a once in a lifetime theatrical experience. Each event is a chance for us to orchestrate the magic that happens when artists come together to create. Voices young and old, unique and never repeated, a chance to revisit classics and hear a new voice for the first time.

THe broadway on the bowery Series

This series brings together two of New York City’s most crowded thoroughfares, Broadway and Bowery, which lie a very short distance apart but epitomize the divide between “uptown glamour” and “downtown edge.” In our 31st season, ATC was delighted to announce the expansion of this series to include additional venues such as Chelsea Table and Stage where the music of Divided was presented.

around the table reading series

The Around the Table Reading Series is a critical program in serving Abingdon Theatre Company’s mission to create exciting, thought-provoking new work by New York-based playwrights. Staged readings are presented free to the public and focus on challenging and thought-provoking subject matter, giving the playwright a chance to hear their words aloud for the first time.

Mainstage productions

Abingdon Theatre Company’s Mainstage Productions are a crucial part of our mission to develop and share high-quality, original work by emerging and established artists that is both thought-provoking and affordable. Recently, the Off-Broadway production of Robin & Me: My Little Spark of Madness received 5 Broadway World Awards including Best New Play.

Abingdon Virtual

Abingdon Virtual is led by Executive Producer, Chad Austin, created in 2020 at a time when live theatre was not possible. Abingdon Virtual’s projects include It Cries Too Loudly, As Apple Pie, and most recently Apart.

The Virtual Festival of Short Plays

The Virtual Festival of Short Plays is set to provide a platform for underrepresented voices across the country to submit their new works for development and outreach in the New York theatre community. In efforts to make theatre more accessible, the annual festival is free to the public.
